Junior Molly Broderick is one of the friendliest faces you will see at Rye High School. Sister of 3 younger siblings, Molly is an amazing friend, student, and athlete.  A Rye Veteran, Molly represents everything good about Rye.

Molly’s soccer skills are insane. She started playing at age 5 and since then, she has become a star defense player on Rye’s Varsity Girls Team. She won the preseason award as one of 2017 Elite 11, and as said on lohud.com, she is an elite player because “she is persistent and covers a lot of ground, taking away time and space from talented scorers.”

She has also played lacrosse since she was young and has been an outstanding player on the Varsity Girls Team since her freshman year.

There is more to Molly than her soccer skills, however. Molly Broderick is intelligent, kind, humorous, honest and the epitome of “a good person.” Molly is a star student in all of her classes, from singing her heart out in chorus to smashin’ that enter button in the graphing calculator in Pre-Calculus. Close friend Faith Bennett said “I’m so happy to have Molly as a friend. She is a great gal. Love you Molly!” From waving hello to everyone she sees in the hallway to making fellow classmates smile with her spot-on sense of humor, Molly never fails to exude confidence and approachability.

Molly is extremely deserving of the Student of the Day because of her enthusiastic nature, one that you can count on whether on or off the field.
