CC Sabathia is back in 2007 form. The 2007 AL Cy Young Award winner has won four straight starts for the first time since April and May of 2009. Thursday night against the Blue Jays, Sabathia (6-2), allowed one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings, and struck out seven and walked none. Sabathia’s dominant performance was complemented by an offensive slugfest by the Yankees.

Gary Sanchez went two for five with two long home runs off of Marco Estrada in the top of the second and fourth innings. Junior, Will Tepedino commented, “Él Gary continues to rake”.

Aaron Hicks went four for five with three doubles, a single, and six RBI’s. Junior Jared Olbrys commented “Hicks has revitalized his career this year. The Yankees traded their third string catcher (John Ryan Murphy) for a young potential All Star outfielder in Aaron Hicks”.

The Yankees will play three more games against the Blue Jays this week in the middle of their thirteen game stand against AL East rivals.
