The Yankees finished a five game road trip recently with a loss to the Reds. CC Sabathia pitched five scoreless innings mixed in with a 5 run second inning in which he let up two home runs. The Yankees swept the defending world series champion Cubs this week which included an 18 inning game. Junior Dennis Kennelly stated, “The Yankees have been suprisingly good this year”. Also they beat the Reds Monday 10-4 with a great outing from Masahiro Tanaka. The Yankees hold the 2nd best record in the MLB (21-10) .5 games behind the 22-10 Orioles. Junior, Sean Hale commented, “The Yanks are legit”.
