My Top 5 Teams to win the World Series

5 Atlanta Braves
It is very hard to have playoff success when you play in Atlanta. Tom Brady has shown us the Dodgers have shown us and many more who came before. The Braves really haven’t done anything this season. All they did was look back when they choked a 3-1 lead in the NLCS. Let’s put them failing aside, this offence is something special. NL MVP Freddie Freeman, Marcell Ozuna and Ronald Acuña Jr. Just those three could win that division alone. And a young pitching staff they will win the NL East and make the playoffs but they need playoff success. They city needs it badly.
4 Chicago White Sox
With a very quiet offseason and a disappointing 2020, the white sox didn’t put themselves in a place to succeed but I think the Sox are due for a run. Led by Tim Anderson and AL MVP Jose Abeau this offense doesn’t get the praise they deserve. The team had talent all around, the only area they need to improve on is the bullpen. The bullpen weighed them down this year. The Sox had outstanding starting pitching but struggled to put the game away with the bullpen usually getting bailed out by the high power offence. Being in the same division as the Twins and Indians is very challenging. The Indians lost their 2 best players in Francisco Lindor and Corey Kluber which means they will have a down year. The Twins really did nothing to improve. I think the Sox are going to make a run this year.
3 New York Yankees
Bias I think not. The Bronx Bombers coming off another disappointing playoff run. Still one of the best offenses I think in the AL. If this team can stay healthy throughout the year they could break every record in the books. Their pitching isn’t far off from the offence Garret Cole coming back for his second year as a Yankee and 2 new pitchers in the rotation in Corey Kluber and Jameson Taillon with Luis Severino coming back “late summer”. The Yankees haven’t been in a World Series in 11 years. To some teams that’s ok but for the Yankees that is unacceptable. They have a team this year to make a run.
2 San Diego Padres
What an offseason for the Padres, signing their young stud for 14 years, getting former Cy Young winner Blake Snell and another reliable pitcher in Joe Musgrove for basically nothing. The Padres are ready for a run. Last year losing to the Dodgers in the NLDS I believe these guys are ready to take it to the next level. This offence will be dominated with Manny Machado, Fernando Tatís Jr., and Eric Hosmer in the middle of the lineup. Pitching not far behind with the two pitchers they acquired. There are only two downsides to this team, not much depth and the Dodgers. If one of the starters for this offence gets hurt they won’t win. They played the majority of the shortened season last year. The padres haven’t been hit with the Injury bug but it could happen at any time. The second reason is
1 Los Angeles Dodgers
The reigning World Series champs are better this year than last year. They lost 2 starters due to chasing money but only one of those two will be missed. Kiki Hernadez the utility stud. Played any position, was a clutch player and just a good locker room guy. They acquired one player in the offseason who is the best player in the league not named Mike Trout. Trevor Bauer. This team will win 100 games and they will get the World Series. Cody Belinger, Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, Corey Seager. Just some of the studs the Dodgers have. It will be scary how good the Dodgers will be this year. I WARNED YOU!
