Trillion Trees was created by the three largest environmental organizations called Wildlife Conservation Society ( WCS ), World Wide Fund for Nature ( WWF ), and Birdlife International ( BLI)Trillion Trees’s goal is to restore one trillion trees by 2050, so that the trees can capture all of the carbon from the environment. The organization hopes to inspire other people to join them in this progress by donating and spreading the word to others.  By growing new trees, it will benefit people’s lives, bring a stable climate and protect wildlife, especially since climate change has brought many problems around the world such as fires, drought, crop shortages, flooding, deforestation and more.  The United Nations believes that when adding 2.5 billion acres of forest to the world, it would limit global warming up to 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit by 2050. Ecologist, Thomas Crowther, explained at the 2019 American Association for the Advancement of Science conference in Washington DC, how planting new trees is the “most powerful weapon” to save this planet. Crowther explains that there is available space across the globe to plant 600 billion trees without taking any agricultural land. So, in order to save climate change, we must plant a lot of trees.
