The Chicago Blackhawks are….back?

Emmet Carroll, Writer

Ok so I have a solid 19 minutes to write this article but boy am I excited about it. The Chicago Blackhawks are riding a five-game win streak with Joel Quenville’s Florida Panthers coming into town tonight. For those of you who don’t know, Coach Q led the Hawks to 3 Stanley Cups and will be in the Hall of Fame one day. They never should have fired him, but I can’t rant about that right now because the Blackhawks are playing their best hockey of the year and the playoffs are looking like a real possibility. Patrick Kane just got his 1,000th point, Dominik Kubalik is becoming a rookie of the year candidate, Jonathan Toews is currently the hottest player in the league(29 points since December 8th and 16 points in his last nine games), Duncan Keith is back to playing close to 30 minutes a night, and the goaltending duo of Corey Crawford and Robin Lehner has been outstanding. Things are looking good right now, and they need a win tonight. This is their last game before the All Star Break and it would be huge to head into the break with a win. Unbelievably large game tonight for the Hawks. I can feel a win coming. It’s gonna happen. It’s too late to hop on the bandwagon, so don’t feel bad when Jonathan Toews is lifting the Stanley Cup again real soon. Go Hawks baby.
