Meghan Markle Ditches the UK for Disney

Recently, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announced their disengagement from royal duties in Britain.  The announcement came as a shock to everyone, including Queen Elizabeth II, who claims to have had no prior knowledge.

Just days after departing from the Royal Family, they have wasted no time finding other ways to keep themselves busy.  Markle has reportedly signed a deal with Disney to work on an “unspecified project” in exchange for a donation to the charity Elephants Without Borders.

This comes to light after a video from the premiere of The Lion King, which took place on July 15, 2019, resurfaced, displaying Prince Harry pitching his wife’s voiceover talents to the CEO of Disney, Bob Igor.  Check out the video here:

Acting is not a foreign concept for Markle, as she began to play small roles in TV series and films during her time studying at Northwestern and has since made appearances on many television shows and most notably starred as Rachel Zane in USA Network’s TV series Suits.

The details of the Disney project are unknown, however, Markle reportedly already recorded it before her recent six-week vacation to Canada.  Personally, I loved Rachel Zane on Suits, so I’m pretty excited about her potential Disney debut.
