After the Winter season ended, Track and Field was over for a few weeks for most athletes, but not for Rachael Adelson, Elena Perez-Segnini, Cate McWilliam and Pippa Emms. Due to their outstanding performances throughout the season, they qualified to compete in the New Balance Nationals 4x800m relay at the Armory in New York City on March 9. The team ran a great time of 9:39:26, which landed them at 10th place in their race.

When asked about how the competition went, Junior, Pippa Emms, said ‘it was so surreal and so strange to think that we had actually all qualified and made it to Nationals because everybody there seemed so elite and talented. Even though we were all nervous, I think that we just remembered that we had done it before and trained so hard for this, and we knew we would go out there and try our best. We were just a second of our personal record, but it didn’t matter because we tried our hardest and competed to get the experience of Nationals… and of course the bags!’

With the Spring season kicking off, we cannot wait to hear about what the team achieves next!
