With the hockey season in full swing the Rye hockey Garnets will take on the Pelham Pelicans in the annual rivalry game on Wednesday, 1/30 at 8pm. In the last three seasons Rye is 0-6 against Pelham and will look to end that winless streak. This is a game that means more than just hockey. Bad bloods run deep between the two schools in every sport. Star lacrosse goalie and hockey player Emmet Carroll had this to say about the game, “We’re all very excited and are hoping to come out on top.” For the seniors this might be the last time they get to play Pelham in front of a home crowd so be sure t0 clear your schedules for Wednesday night and come out to support. Senior super fan, Chloe Seiler says she’s “super stoked and ready to cheer!!! #roll9”.

Rye has won their last two games against Clarkstown, 4-3, and Byram Hills, 6-2, and will look to continue the winning streak Wednesday night. This game is the biggest of the year and the hockey team needs your loud cheering to get them going. Make sure you get out there to watch. Wednesday, 1/30 at 8pm at Playland Ice Casino.
