A Glimpse of Spring?

Summer has sprung, but what about spring?

After an extremely long winter, the warmth has finally arrived to the Northeast, and is here to stay. Temperatures in Rye surpassed 90 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, going from very cold to very hot in just a matter of weeks. While the warm weather leaves many people excited and ready for summer, others are left wondering what happened to spring.

If the latter option describes you, don’t fear! This week will perfectly represent how spring is supposed to feel like with temperatures in the 65-75 degree range. Mild humidity and beautiful sunny days will make going outside pleasant and relaxing, and will make for a nice break from studying for AP exams.

And perhaps the most exciting part of this time of year is being able to see the green returning to the trees and grass. Gone are the days of barren, depressing trees, officially marking the end of winter. Tulips, azaleas, and dogwoods are blooming left and right, adding color to the once gray outdoors.

In just a few short weeks, finals will be here and the school will become a furnace, so be sure to get outside and enjoy the warm weather!
