Preston Greto a Junior at Rye High put his skills to the test last weekend at the track meet in Ossining throwing an outstanding 39 ft on his first throw for shot put. Preston’s throw won him first place at the Ossining meet because he was the only one to break over 35 ft. Preston was very pleased with his throwing saying that “I can throw a lot farther I know I can.” Coach Adrian says “That with proper technique and practice Preston could break the school record of 52 ft without any problems.” Preston is really set out to break the record for the varsity shot put title and he has seen that he has a lot of talent in his event he’s set out for success.
