Walter’s hot dogs first opened in 1928 and has remained a roadside business since then. It is located in Mamaroneck, on Boston Post Rd. Walter Warrington started the hot dog stand, which was voted the #1 hot dog in America by Gourmet Magazine in 2001.

Freshman Dillon Ryan said, “Walter’s is my favorite place to eat! There’s a long line but it’s always worth the wait.”

The current owner of Walter’s is Eugene Warrington, Walter’s son. The stand offers single and double hot dogs, an abundance of french fries, soup, plenty of drinks, and desserts, including milkshakes.

Sophomore, Christian Lawrence said, “Woah!! Walter’s is great!” He further went on to explain how “the hot dogs are the best in Westchester.”

If you’re ever in the area, check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
