The Rye High School Boys Lacrosse team looks to have a very successful year under second year coach, Steve Lennon.

Talking to any of the returning players, you will quickly realize the confidence among the players with their eyes not only set on Sectional play; but states are within Coach Lennon’s reach .

Some returning key players include senior Cornell commit Billy Chabot, senior Dartmouth commit Peter Chabot, Senior Syracuse commit Owen Hull, Senior Billy McLaughlan, Senior Dennis Kennelly, Sophmores Brendan Lavelle and Emmit Carroll, and Juniors Pat Langer and Ellis Tucci.

On the defensive side of the ball; Rye has size, physicality, and tenasity with Owen Hull, Dylan Concavage, and Brendan Lavelle.

In the net Rye has a lot of talent with senior Alex Goldstein and sophmore Emmit Carroll who is Rye’s starter.

On offense, the Rye Lacrosse team is loaded with returning 50+ goal scorers from last season like Billy and Peter Chabot, senior Seamus Carroll and Dennis Kennelly with young scorers like Tommy DeCaro.

Junior Ellis Tucci also hopes to dish out some assists while bringing some experience back to the mid-field.

Rye Lacrosse has recently decided to compete in Class C which could change everything for the program. Senior Alex Goldstein said that “Pelham will most likely be our biggest challenge”. Rye is without a doubt the clear favorite for the Section title, can they pull it off? As pre-season gets rolling, the Garnets have their minds set on accomplishing something they have come up short on in the past few years. Be sure to catch the Rye Lacrosse Team this season, you wont be disappointed.
