Last weeks athlete of the week was Seamus Carroll. Seamus is a junior who plays both varsity lacrosse and hockey. He is an assistant captain of the varsity hockey team. Seamus scored 3 goals in Rye’s hockey playoff game against Hen Hud. This is Carroll’s first and only ‘hat trick’ of the season.
After seeing him score three goals, number one fan Lennie Agosta said, “I love watching Seamus play hockey. He is so good!”
When asked about why Seamus makes a good athlete of the week, Dom Vitiello said, “Seamus is definitely a good athlete of the week. He is a great hockey player and a great friend.”
Seamus hopes to carry this athletic success into lacrosse season which starts today. He has been on varsity since freshman year and is looking to step into a prominent role as a starting attackman this season.
